My mom had the patience and strength to teach her four
daughters to sew. Since I was the youngest, I spent more
time watching her and learning which led to sewing soon
becoming my passion.
After graduating from college in Fashion Design, I went to work and taught in one of Ottawa's most prestigious Haute Couture establishments. After a while, I wanted to teach the basics of sewing, so I opened a Private Career College where anybody could attend and learn.
A few years later, I realized that sewing was what gave me the most pleasure, so after a period of reflection I'm back in business.
I enjoy the challenge of making a dress from a picture or drawing, putting together a family quilt or making alterations to a precious wedding gown. This is what makes me thrive in my career and life.
